Egg White Strawberry French Toast

Make this for your special someone, for Easter brunch or, for my favorite weekday treat, breakfast for dinner! This super quick and easy recipe can be adapted to feed as many or as few people as you’d like and only requires 5 ingredients! I made this delicious and filling breakfast on Valentine’s Day morning this year and it sure did hit the spot! figs are one of my favorite fall fruits and I got these beautiful and delish figs from my mom’s tree!

What You’ll Need


Make 6-8 pieces of toast 

Gluten Free Bread (I used canyon bakehouse, but any kind will work!) 

1 egg (optional) 

½ cup of egg whites (1 cup if you do not use 1 full egg) 

1 tsp vanilla 

1 tsp cinnamon 

Pinch of salt 

For Toppings:

Fresh cut strawberries 

Fresh cut raspberries 

Maple syrup 

Optional Additions:

Powdered sugar 

Any fruit 

Peanut butter 

Chocolate chips 

Coconut flakes 

Nutella  

Method


First, heat a skillet on medium and spray with oil. Mix eggs, egg whites, vanilla, cinnamon and salt until smooth. Dip toast into egg mixture until fully coated. Place coated toast on the skillet. Flip after 4-5 minutes or until each side is golden brown. Repeat and put on toppings! Enjoy!
